My first real linky for Market Monday.
Please come in and stay a bit.
BEFORE 80's GAH! |
AFTER Ahhh |
I really wanted to share my top reasons for loving Annie Sloan's products.
We hear so much, see so many great painting but let me simplify.
1. EASY
No need to seal, sand and toil--right over anything, metal, wood and more.
Look at this 80's shine on the above piece, I did nothing before painting.
Coverage is amazing.
Before wax |
2. Water based
Easy clean up and mixing to
create your own custom colors
or water down for a wash.
Here I mixed Country Grey with
Old White trim and
a special mix of blue for
additional subtle accents
on the curves of this piece.
3. THE COLORS
Nothing can beat the sophisticated,
muted to bold,
one better than the next.
Where can you buy?? Link below.
4. The wax
Soft buttery and easy to apply with
great protective qualities.
The wax also ups the patina...
clear provides a subtle change
to a richer tone
of the color you use.
The darker wax really letting you add patina
and "age" or pop trim
and deco accents and crannies.
This piece I did clear and then accented crannies with dark.
Now here is the deal...
oh please oh please
yes I am begging...pitifully
Link up one of your creations.
Any creation.

ReplyDeleteHi Molly! Thanks for hosting the party ~ what fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Molly! Your table looks great! Would you mind telling me how you achieved such a smooth finish on your table top? Did you use a roller or brush? You did a beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Molly! Love looking at painted furniture!
ReplyDeleteYou are just so talented. I purchased one of your large shutters with the boot on it at the Cottage in Leesburg. I just love your things. I have several pieces of furniture that I want to paint(it is cherry now) do you do any painting on other peoples painted furniture? I dont live far from Leesburg in MD.
ReplyDeleteThanks for inviting me to your party! :)
ReplyDeleteI just found a dealer here that sells chalk paint! Finally! Thanks for hosting! XOXO
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me be a part of your party!! Sorry, but I am so new, my link is on twice. # 8 & 11. Not sure how to delete?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the invite to join! I am loving all the link parties out there. There are so many fabulously talented women with such great inspirations!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you can tell me how you have the different fonts on your blog. I just have the basic blogger fonts and would love more. Thanks!
Just amazing! YOU add that little something extra that most of us would be afraid to try...adding the leaves on the supports. Your paint job helped that table 1000%.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting! Love the new Look of that table--the details are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for having a party! Chalk Paint is the BOMB!
ReplyDeleteMolly- You did a great job. I have paint waiting here for me but no time to try it yet. I need to get going before winter sets in! Your sofa table turned out great- I love it! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting! and my goodness, what terrible blogger etiquette - I linked up and forgot to post your button. Just wanted to let you know your button is now displayed proudly on my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteFun! Thanks for having the party!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever used any of this paint as a wash? I have done the ottoman I posted today and the base of my butcher block in the kitchen, but I would like to try a wash. I have some furniture which came in a painted finish that I am TIRED of, but it cost quite a lot, and I am a bit nervous about painting it with chalk paint. Any advice?
ReplyDeleteYour table is nicely updated!
Wow, what a transformation Molly! It is so beautiful now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to my weekly Chalk Paint Link Party and thanks so much for sharing it here on your blog.
Oh my goodness I love it! Just like you I love ASCP. It is so versatile you feel like an artist instead of just a furniture painter. Each piece is a work of art! Thanks for inviting me over to your linky and stopping by my little blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour table is FABULOUS! This is my first time partying with you, Molly Susan Strong...will come back every Monday!
ReplyDeleteDeborah.
I am a CP believer! My next project is ready and waiting in the garage. Thanks for hosting this and sharing your pieces.
