Vintage Chic... even for the man in your life

One of the ladies at
Chartreuse and Co.
just rocks at providing our customers
a look that screams Industrial Chic.
Her vintage items take everything for storage up a notch.
By the way she has just redesigned her website
so go on by and visit
and you can buy some of the items
I used for my husband's presents this past birthday.
I do not know if it is hard for you
to find a unique present but I struggle.
I wanted to personalize my gift so I had to get crafty.
I used printed out pics of the kiddies
and some little phrases both functional and meaningful for us.
I used a 1 1/2 inch glass bubble,
diamond glaze and glued to the magnets with E600 glue.
Someone once asked about my art studio...alrighty,
 truth be told,
 kitchen island = studio
and
a lot-o-mess.
And yes, I drink coffee, eat breakfast and craft in my PJs.  Classy.

Easy and very personal cool for "The Dad".

So I purchased this fabulous vintage baking sheet
and some metal boxes with the same cool punched holes
from my pal Kelly at Madison & Mabel.
The patina is perfect. Time worn and warm.

Add in the personal touches:
Gift cards to itunes, Borders, Cabellas and Baja Fresh

AND
 BEER
and you have a happy hubby.
Happy Birthday love.
Molly

And that great bird cage lamp is from Chartruse and Co. too!!
 See what you can find.
It is from Debbie at Electric Charm Decor!!

Pink Pink Everywhere

Nothing says sweet like a springy little toile.
I love the fresh feeling toile gives me.
The little scenes of a time past.
Nature front and center.

I saw this bureau sitting,
abandoned and in desperate need of some love.

Also two little headboards forlorne, and alone.
Not to mention one perfectly sized little chair.
So I instantly thought a little toile
would go a long way to bring it all into play
making this the perfect little set for a guest room,
or a little girls oasis.
The two headboards could be done as one darling daybed
or two twins.
So as I try desperately to bring in
Spring...

Take old ugly brown and dirty cast offs

Love to all things toile,

Burlap and Birdies

I have a thing for burlap stuff.
It is the color and texture that I adore.
I also love birds.
My English friend swears that birds
are not good luck to use as decoration in the home.
I say who cares as I love the sweetness they add to home decor.
I saw several creative gals use burlap to wrap candles
and just felt I had to have my way with this fabulous idea
and add my spin.

So...
 supplies I purchased today...
Yes, moss ribbon...fabulous new crafting item.
My first candle, lavender and lilac scented...
Tall burlap wrapped with moss and a silver birdie!
Medium sized  with the same elements.
Why not paint a birdie, dry brush and add twine and a little silver charm?
My new collection to inspire Spring to come our way.
I see all kinds of possibilities for summer, fall...
For right now, I am hoping for Spring.
WHAT IS YOUR TAKE?

Almost Time February Sale

My goodness have we had some snow.

My light has a top hat.
Seems we have been snowed in for days on end.
 Snowed In = Painting
...for me anyway.  Projects that sat have come alive.
I have added some pictures of our next tag sale and
some of my new items,
snow inspired!
Come see us the third weekend of each month for fabulous finds.
AND
Eat some chocolate!
Happy Valentines Day!
This was actually a very old, dirty table top without legs...now look at me!
One Two Three Four
Girlie Inspired Pink Toile.
Hand painted headboards. This bureau had an old broken mirror and was a very dirty dark brown.
The headboards had an even worse look.  Little paint with primer...my new favorite product,
pink toile fabric for inspiration and to replace the bureau mirror,
handpainted pink scenes on the headboard and
WA LAAA!
And why not a pink crowned bird for a side chair?
Not just for china...a great bedroom addition.
A fabulous white washed hutch, wing chair and embroidered pillows.
Handpainted drop leaf table with chairs just the right size.

And so much more to see.
I will be linking this up with Mustard Seed Creations, Finding Fabulous, Poppies At Play, A Soft Place To Land, It's So Very Cheri, 5 Minutes For Mom, Reinvented, Today's Creative Blog, A Picture Is Worth 1,000 Words, A Silly Little Sparrow , Sumo's Sweet Stuff and My Frugal Family.
